JapaneseU is a Japanese learning app that allows users to save useful Japanese phrases, organize them by unit, review them over time, and optionally browse phrases shared by other learners through community features.
We may collect information you provide directly, including your nickname, native language, email address, login-related information, phrases, notes, translations, and content you choose to share publicly.
We may also collect limited technical information such as your app version, operating system version, account identifier, usage-related information, and purchase status needed to unlock premium features.
We may use your information to provide and improve the app, manage your account, save your learning progress, enable community features, restore purchases, respond to support requests, and detect abuse or misuse.
If you choose to share content publicly, that content may be visible to other users of the app.
Please do not post personal information, unlawful content, abusive content, or anything that infringes another person’s rights. We may review, restrict, hide, or remove content that violates our rules or is inappropriate for the app.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, with Apple as necessary for subscriptions and purchase restoration, or where required by law or necessary to protect users and the app.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may request account deletion from within the app. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.
If you have an active Apple subscription, deleting your in-app account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscription cancellation must be managed separately through your Apple account settings.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information.
The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in situations where parental consent is legally required. If you believe such information has been provided improperly, please contact us.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where applicable.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you within the app or by other appropriate means.
